Editorial Guidelines
Trust is earned story by story. These guidelines describe how our newsroom works and what readers can expect from us.
Accuracy and sourcing
We verify facts with primary sources wherever possible, attribute information clearly and distinguish between reporting, analysis and opinion. Anonymous sources are used only when there is a clear public interest and their information has been independently checked.
Independence
Editorial staff make decisions without influence from advertisers, sponsors or commercial partners. Staff may not accept gifts or payments that could compromise their independence.
Health and money content
Health articles are written to be cautious and evidence-based and are reviewed for accuracy. Financial articles provide general information, not personal advice.
Corrections
When we make a mistake we correct it promptly and add a note at the end of the article explaining what changed. To report an error, email editors@demosite2.com.
Images
Some articles are illustrated with representative or illustrative imagery rather than photographs of the specific events described. Captions and alt text describe what is shown.
Separation of advertising
All advertising is labelled "Advertisement" and visually separated from articles. We do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial.
